Ford b-max boasts the lowest consumption in its class

The latest model Ford B-Max, the indirect successor of Fusion declares that it will boast the lowest fuel consumption in a small MPV. Low power consumption is especially proud of the B-Max 1.0 three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost (88 kW) 1.6 TDCi turbo diesel (70 kW).

Fuel consumption is reduced with the help of Auto Start-Stop system, optimum shift indicator for the lowest consumption, charging or intelligent information system that teaches drivers to drive economically.

1.0 EcoBoost petrol unit with an output of 88 kW will offer a combined fuel consumption of 4.9 l/100 km, which corresponds to 114 g CO per 1 km of loose ride.

Ford B-Max, with this engine will have less power than the reported combined competitive Opel Meriva 1.4 petrol engine with ecoFLEX (88 kW) supplemented with start-stop system, Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 VTi with (88 kW) and than the Renault Grand Modus 1.2 TCE with (76 kW).

As stated by the combined fuel consumption Meriva with that engine is 5.7 liters per 100, the Grand Modus, this value is 6.0 l/100 km and then C3 Picasso 6.4 l/100 km.

Ford-B-Max will also be offered with a diesel 1.6 TDCi aggregate output of 70 kW, which in car consumes 4.0 liters of combined cycle fuel per 100 km, which corresponds to 104 g CO per kilometer.

Among the competitors diesel Ford B-Max, one of the Opel Meriva 1.3 CDTi ecoFLEX aggregate (70 kW) with start-stop, Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 HDi (68 kW) Renault Grand Modus 1.5 dCi is eco (65 kW).

Reported combined fuel consumption of the Meriva and Grand Modus is the same 4.1 l/100 km, the C3 Picasso consumes 4.6 liters of diesel per 100 km.

The official premiere will have a serial B-Max at the Geneva Motor Show in March, sales occur during the year.

B-Max is an indirect successor to very popular in our Fusion. Increased small hatchback Ford expects to be able to replace the traditional MPV (B-Max) and a small SUV ( Ecosport ).
